WHAT IS WIKI?

Wiki is a web technology used for collaborative publishing on the web. Wiki is a type of server software that allows you to work with data on a remote server on the Web. Users interact with the software through a web interface that lets them read, edit and publish content.

In a wiki site, students are free to create pages about themselves. A teacher can ask students to create such pages as an entry-level task to get them familiar with wiki and its tools. A student's page can contain a photo, bio information, hobbies, a list of interests, links to favorite websites. A task to create such a page gives the student an incentive how to use formatting, publishing and multimedia capabilities of a wiki platform, thereby preparing the student for more complex tasks.

Also wikis are actively used in education and there are a significant number of such resources.

Second its a TEFLPEDIA

Teflpedia is a wiki dedicated to everything associated with teaching English as a foreign language  or second language.Our objective is to become a major user-generated resource for English teachers from all over the world. I consider it very useful service, which could contain all the material necessary for teachers of the English language. Incredibly successful choice for such a wiki platform service.
